Chesterfield County (Va) supervisor pleads guilty to sex counts

This is a sad story. It is sad that he did not get any jail time. At first, I thought this guy was a republican but I was wrong he is a democrat. The RTD story follows:

Chesterfield County Supervisor Edward B. Barber pleaded guilty yesterday to two misdemeanor sexual battery charges involving his teenage stepdaughter. As part of a plea agreement, the charges were reduced from two felony counts initially filed. Since the charges are misdemeanors, Barber -- a Democrat and the Midlothian district representative -- is not legally required to resign from the board.
In an exclusive interview with The Times-Dispatch last night, Barber said he has no plans to vacate his office.
"I've represented that district well for 14 years and I plan to continue to do that," he said when reached by telephone. After pleading guilty during the hearing, Barber was sentenced to a two-year suspended jail sentence, three years probation and 100 hours of community service.
He also must submit to a sex-offender evaluation. Depending on the outcome of that evaluation, he could be required to undergo sex-offender counseling.
The written plea agreement that Barber entered into indicates that he admits to touching "the private parts of the victim against her will" on Dec. 26. MERRY CHRISTMAS
Barber must register with the state police Sex Offender Registry. Barber's stepdaughter was 16 at the time she made her complaint to police on Dec. 26. Barber was arrested Dec. 29 -- the same day that police listened in on a phone conversation between Barber and the girl -- and charged with felony aggravated sexual battery and felony object sexual penetration.
Barber said he will retire from his job as a physical-education teacher at Crenshaw Elementary School. But school system officials had apparently already decided he would not continue there. County schools spokeswoman Debra Q. Marlow yesterday told The Times-Dispatch that Barber, who had been suspended pending the resolution of the charges against him, "does not have a contract for the fall and we will fill that position."
In October 2004, Barber faced allegations of improper contact with children after some Crenshaw parents said they witnessed him allowing children to massage his shoulders.

Former Alabama Gov Convicted

Democrat Don Siegelman

Don Sielgelma, 60, was accused of trading government favors for campaign donations when he was governor from 1999 to 2003 and lieutenant governor from 1995 to 1999. He was convicted last thursday along with former Health South CEO Richard Scrushy for arranging $500,000 in donations to Siegelman's campaign in exchange for a seat on a state hospital regulatory board.

Bridgeport Conn Major admits to using cocaine a lot while in office

Mayor John M. Fabrizi on Tuesday stood before more than 200 city employees and residents and admitted he used cocaine in the past.
"I am sorry if I have, in any way, hurt the dignity of this office. I will do everything I can to regain the respect and support of the people of this city," Fabrizi said during an emotional address in which he choked up several times.
Referring specifically to his past drug use, Fabrizi said flatly, "Over the course of a number of years I abused alcohol and used cocaine occasionally."
Admitting he used cocaine during his time in office as both City Council president and later as mayor, he said he has not used drugs in 18 months.
Tears running down his cheeks, Fabrizi said he sought help for a drug addiction and had hoped that he could handle it privately.
Monday with the Connecticut Post editorial board, Fabrizi said he quit using cocaine at the end of 2004, and stopped drinking this year. He was elected in the fall of 2003.
The admission followed the release of FBI documents in which an alleged drug dealer claimed an associate had a videotape of the mayor using cocaine. Fabrizi, a Democrat who took office after Joseph Ganim (another democrat) was convicted of corruption in 2003, said he hopes to move forward and continue running Connecticut's largest city.

So he got caught and now he tring to be like Kennedy and say that he is a victim and he is trying to stop...but it is so hard...

Former Atlanta Mayor Democrat Bill Campbell goes to Prison.

Bill Campbell served as mayor of Atlanta, Georgia from 1994 to 2002. Campbell was the fifty-seventh mayor in the city's history and the third African American to hold the office. In 1960, a seven-year-old Bill Campbell was the first black student to attend an all-white school in Raleigh, NC. In August, 2004, he was indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of racketeering, corruption, bribery, and tax fraud in violation of the RICO statute, mail fraud, and wire fraud. On June 13, 2006, he was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Richard Story to 30 months in prison on charges of tax evasion and also ordered to serve a year on probation, pay a $6,000 fine, and pay more than $60,000 in back taxes. He is a Democrat. I mention this because the liberal media does not. Today, CNN online never once mentioned in an online article that he was a democrat. It is a smart move on their part due to all of the great news for conservatives that were listed today or recently: 1) Carl Rove will not be indieted. 2)Bush goes to Baghdad. 3)Bush's poll numbers went up from 31% to 38% today. 4)48% of Americans think Iraq is winable (US Today poll) 5) Tom Delay was never charged with anything. 6) We killed Al zacari (who cares about the spelling of his name) 7)We won in the recent San Diego congressional election. 8)No one likes Hillary. ...And meanwhile the democrats are thinking of what shade of pink to paint Congress...Please. Give me a break. Keep on drinking that special kool aid.

If you do not serve your country who will. I am not saying that everyone should go join the army. I am proud of my Army National Guard service for 6 years with multiple voluntary deployments, and my service as a volunteer firefighter/EMT. What I am saying is this: "What have you done today to better your country and the lives of those around you." Have YOU done any good in the world today? If their was no one serving in the military you, myself, your children, and everyone would be raped and killed. If their was no police...their would be chaos and the above. If their was no volunteer firefighters or EMT'S you house would burn down and many people would die when they could be saved. Lets get to work.

I have not seen it obviously, and I do not see rated R movie's for moral reasons. I think I might change that rule for this movie. Today on Glenn Beck's radio show, he stated that "all should see it", and it was not a typical hollywood piece of crap movie. He stated that it is not an anti-bush, or an anti-Muslim movie. It is an anti-terrorist, pro-America movie. Get some info for yourself below.
